What Alto does with practice numbers.

KPI dashboards, the Daily Recap, the Morning Huddle, monthly closeout, and Ask Alto, for independent dental practices on Open Dental. Images below are from the real product, on sample data from a fictional practice.

Practice KPI dashboards

The dashboard puts net production, income, and new patients against your goals for today, this week, this month, or the year to date, for the whole practice or one provider.

Below the headline numbers are a daily action brief, such as insurance claims that have been waiting too long and your hygiene reappointment rate, and practice health views like goal pacing and production already scheduled by provider.

Daily Recap

After Alto's nightly refresh, the Daily Recap is emailed to the people you choose, with a PDF attached. It covers your last completed business day and shows when its data was last refreshed.

It shows net production, income, and new patients for the month against your goals, with how far ahead or behind you are and the month-end pace; production already scheduled for the rest of the month; key metrics for the day, week, month, same month last year, and year to date; payments and adjustments by type; and a provider summary.

When a figure cannot be verified, the recap shows a dash instead of a number. Choose a light or dark design, or both, and require a passcode to open the PDF if you like.

Morning Huddle

The Morning Huddle gives the team one brief before patients arrive: today's patients and new patients to welcome, balances to collect at check-in or checkout, treatment that could be done or scheduled today, openings to fill, and charts missing information.

It also shows production scheduled for each provider. When it is emailed, the email itself carries only counts and totals; patient names and amounts are in a passcode-protected PDF.

Monthly closeout

When a month closes, Alto keeps a closeout record of what it reported: income, net and gross production, and the trailing 90-day collection rate, with comparisons to the prior month and the same month last year.

The record does not change later. If a figure is corrected, the correction is shown beside it. Review it in Alto or download it as a PDF. Weekly closeouts are kept the same way.

Ask Alto

Ask Alto answers plain-English questions about your practice numbers, such as how much you collected this month, from the same figures Alto reports elsewhere.

Each answer says what date it runs through and has a Why / source note. When Alto does not have the evidence to answer, it says so instead of guessing.
